General Siding was formed as a small roofing and siding supply company
in 1976 by Walter Spanheimer. In 1982 the Company opened its second
warehouse in Grand Island, Ne. and followed by opening warehouses in
Sioux City, Iowa, Lincoln, Nebraska, Spirit Lake, and West Fargo,
North Dakota. Because of the quality material, honesty and great
customer service by its founder, what started out as a small roofing and
siding supply company has steadily grown to include 5 locations to
serve Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Kansas.
